New York City is my favorite place on Earth, and Central Park is one of the most amazing parts of New York City. I love the park year-round, but it’s hard to say it’s ever more amazing than when covered in snow.
And for the first time, Melshine and I visited Wollman Rink, having slacked off on getting around to ice skating for many successive winters. Fortunately, Melshine’s birthday (never as warm as she wishes) brought a perfect opportunity to finally get out on the ice.
Full disclosure: neither of us were not going to be a danger to ourselves and those around us. On the other hand, neither of us fell, so… Win!
Aren’t we cute.
While a few other things of note came up over the past few days (picking up an M4, buckets of bullets, and a freaking cowboy hat in DayZ, plus a productive week at work), nothing came close to matching the Melshine’s-birthday part of the weekend.
In other news, I still haven’t managed to fix the sound problem with the game recording software. I picked up new headphones – really to get something that was a little more comfortable than the cheap set I’d been using, but they may fix the problem I’ve been having as they have a USB connection with actual Drivers.
And yes, I’m really happy about the hat in DayZ. I know it’s goofy, but look at it. It’s a cowboy hat!
